Meet the Hyundai Ioniq 6 🇰🇷 ⚡️ The Ioniq 6 is the highly anticipated production version of 2020’s Prophecy Concept. The electric sedan will arrive in the first half of 2023 in the US. More details, such as EPA range and pricing, will be revealed closer to then. But I expect over 300 miles per charge and a base MSRP of around $45-48k (again, just my predictions). Thoughts?

The Volkswagen ID. Aero Concept previews the German marque’s upcoming flagship EV sedan. Based on the MEB platform, the sedan will arrive in production form next year and will be sold in China, Europe and North America. Thanks in part to superb aerodynamics, the ID Aero has an estimated 385-mile WLTP range. Thoughts?

The Lightyear 0 will start at roughly $263,000. Only 946 will be made. The 0 has a claimed range of 388 miles (plus any extra range received from its solar panels - up to 43 miles in peak conditions). Performance is clearly not a focus point - 0-62 mph takes 10 seconds, top speed is 100 mph and total power output is only 170 hp. Thoughts?

Toyota’s Compact Cruiser EV design study has won Auto & Design Magazine’s 2022 Car Design Award. The Compact Cruiser EV was first shown last year among 16 other future Toyota EVs, however more images were released after it won the award. Thoughts?

The Chevrolet Blazer SS EV is a mid-sized, all-electric SUV that will go on sale in spring 2023. The Blazer EV will use GM’s Ultium battery packs. The SS version shown above will likely be the top-trim, performance-oriented version and could be the first version of the Blazer to go on sale (although that’s just speculation, we’ll have to wait and see). More details and images will be released on July 18. Thoughts?

Porsche has revealed a special version of the Taycan GTS, the Hockenheimring Edition, to celebrate 90 years of the iconic German race track. The Hockenheimring Edition features Stone Grey paint and a black / Island Green interior. It also has unique badging throughout and Bronzite interior detailing. The Hockenheimring Edition will be available in Germany and a few other European countries. Thoughts?
