Genesis GV60 Unveiled

The Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand reveals their first dedicated EV.

The Genesis GV60 looks like nothing else in Genesis’s lineup. Those familiar with the brand will find certain design elements such as the 2 lines headlights and crest grille familiar. However, Genesis seems to have radically redesigned these. The headlights have been slanted inwards for a sportier look and the massive chrome-coated crest grille has been reduced to a small outline. Additionally, Genesis has opted for side cameras over traditional side mirrors for better aerodynamics.

The interior is also a change from other Genesis models. The steering wheel features a rotary drive mode selector and a button labeled “boost” that will most likely help the crossover achieve optimal acceleration times. Genesis has also implemented a gear selector shaped like the crystal ball from the Genesis X concept.

The Genesis GV60 is built on the same E-GMP platform as the Kia EV6 and the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Looking at the specs of these 2 vehicles, we can assume the GV60 will have over 300 miles of range and up to 577 horsepower. Pricing will most likely start slightly higher than its corporate siblings.
