The Cybertruck was first shown in 2019 and has over one million pre-orders.

Tesla has delayed their controversial Cybertruck, with production now aimed for next year. The Cybertruck was originally supposed to enter production at Tesla’s Giga Austin plant late this year, however this has now been pushed back as the plant remains unfinished.

The Cybertruck is joined by the Semi and Roadster on the list of Teslas previously shown to the public but yet to actually reach production. You can however join the 1.2 million people who have pre-ordered a Cybertruck with a $100 deposit.

Three versions of the Cybertruck are planned – Single Motor RWD, Dual Motor AWD and Tri Motor AWD. Prices start at $39,900, $49,900 and $69,900 respectively. The top-of-the-line Tri Motor Cybertruck will be capable of over 500 miles per charge and 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds according to Tesla.

What are your thoughts on the Cybertruck? Do you think it’s a credible rival to the Ford F-150 Lightning, likely it’s main competitor? Let us know your thoughts in the replies section below.
