Good news for those of you interested in a top-of-the-line Mach-E.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition have more EPA range than was initially expected.

Originally Ford announced an estimated 250 mile EPA range for the GT. Meanwhile, the GT Performance Edition was given a 235 mile estimation. However, now official EPA figures have been given and they’re much higher than Ford’s original expectations.

The GT was given a 270 mile official EPA range, 20 miles more than was expected. Furthermore, the GT Performance Edition managed 260 miles according to the EPA, a significant 25 miles more than Ford’s original expectation.

Both the Mach-E GT and GT Performance Edition will arrive in the US this fall. Pricing starts at $59,900 and $64,900 respectively. Both are clearly direct competitors to the Tesla Model Y Performance, with 3.8 and 3.5 second 0-60 mph times. Powered by a 98.8kWh battery pack, total power output is up to 480hp on the GT Performance Edition.
