Insane performance meets insane looks.

Luxury brand Caviar (best known for gold-plating everyday products like a PlayStation or i-Phone) has now turned their attention towards the Tesla Model S. Based off the upcoming Model S Plaid+, the MODEL EXCELLENCE 24K takes the 1,100bhp standard car and adds an insane amount of gold trim as well as plenty of bespoke touches.

Just a concept for the moment, Caviar intends to eventually make and sell 99 MODEL EXCELLENCE 24Ks. Here’s what they have to say about it on their website: “Imagine yourself driving this car: a respectable high-quality oil-colored body and a dazzling glow of gold. You are not just driving the car of the future. This is a new word in luxury car modding. If you think that they will turn after you and look with an admiring glance, you are not mistaken. That is exactly what the Caviar Model Excellence 24K is made for.”

Quite the sales pitch isn’t it? Well, one things for sure – being one of the 99 buyers will not come cheap. Caviar intends to sell the MODEL EXCELLENCE 24K for $300,000. That means you’re paying a $135k over a normal fully-loaded Model S Plaid+.

Well, what are your thoughts on the MODEL EXCELLENCE 24K? It’s quite an acquired taste, I can imagine. Let us know what you make of it in the replies section below.

  1. Honestly cheaper than what I thought they would charge for it, selling 99 of these shouldn’t be an issue
