The top-of-the-line ID.4 is here, with plenty of power and sporty looks.
Volkswagen has unveiled the range topping variant of the ID.4 crossover, the performance-oriented ID.4 GTX. Set to go on sale later this year, the GTX comes with AWD and aggressive looks, as well as much more.
Power stems from the same 77kWh pack currently available on the ID.4, however power is a hefty 295bhp. 0-62 mph takes just 6.2 seconds according to VW, meanwhile an optional sports package can lower the ID.4’s body by 15 mm (0.6”).

Inside red detailing and ‘GTX’ embossed headrests feature. However, in general the interior is very similar to the standard ID.4. You get the same 10” infotainment system (which can be upgraded to 12”) as the regular ID.4 as well as the 5.3” driver’s display. Hello ID voice assistant, Apple CarPlay, lane keep assist and many other features all come as standard.
Pricing for the GTX is yet to be revealed. Also, according to Autoweek the US market will simply be getting the ‘ID.4 AWD’. That said, the US AWD version is expected to carry very similar specifications to the GTX.
