Jaguar Reveals I-Pace Black Edition

By B. O’Hare
Jaguar has unveiled a new variant of the all-electric I-Pace, dubbed the Black Edition. Featuring a gloss black finish for the grill, grill surround, door mirrors, side window surrounds and badging, the Black Edition certainly gives a more imposing and aggressive look versus the standard car. Buyers of the Black Edition also get privacy glass, a panoramic roof and black 20” alloys.
Quite a lot of additional kit then, but what about the powertrain? Well, the Black Edition is merely an aesthetic upgrade. The 90kWh battery pack of the regular I-Pace remains, meaning 395bhp and a 0-60 mph time of around 4.5 seconds. Range is 280 miles per charge in base I-Pace Black Edition trim, marginally less than the standard I-Pace thanks to the Black Edition’s 20” alloys.
US pricing is currently unknown, but in the UK the Black Edition starts at £72,445 ($100,506) in SE guise, ranging up to £76,695 ($106,402) for the HSE Black Edition.
