Genesis, the luxury subsidiary of Hyundai, has revealed their first all-electric car at this year’s Shanghai Auto Show. Dubbed the Electrified G80, Genesis’ first EV is expected to go on sale in the US later this year or else in early 2022.
Little was revealed in terms of powertrain specs, but we do know the Electrified G80 will be capable of 310 miles per charge on the NEDC cycle, or 265 miles on the Korean equivalent. Fast charging will also enable a 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 22 minutes. 0-60 mph is a claimed 4.9 seconds according to Genesis. The dual-motor setup of the Electrified G80 produces 365 horsepower.

US pricing is unknown but is expected to be slightly more than the ICE equivalent G80, which starts at $48,745 stateside.
