BMW iX2 spotted in testing

The gas X2 has been in production since 2017 and starts at $37,395

A fully electrified version of BMW’s X2 crossover has been spotted testing in Sweden. The “iX2“ (the exhausts are just a decoy it seems) featured “Electric Test Vehicle” labels, versus the “Hybrid Test Vehicle” logos seen in the past.

So, a fully electric X2 is on the way? It seems so, although this could just be BMW testing their battery tech for other future models. If an all-electric X2 does arrive it’ll likely be a direct competitor to the Tesla Model Y and Volvo XC40 Recharge, which probably means a sub $50k starting price. Thoughts?
