Meet the Mercedes EQV – the German company’s fully electrified MPV that’s going to eventually replace the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) Vito. Set to go on sale next year, the EQV is targeted primarily for large families, sport enthusiasts and chauffeurs alike and will be configurable as either a 6, 7 or 8-seater. Powered by a 100kWh battery, the luxury van produces 201 bhp and is capable of going 249 miles // 400km on a single charge.

Top speed is electronically limited to 99 mph – which is more than enough for long-distance (legal) highway cruising. Mercedes is yet to confirm if the EQV will go on sale in North America, but we anticipate that it will given that the market for larger vehicles like MPVs is definitely there. If it does arrive in the US, expect a starting price of around $55,000. Thoughts?
